Mizuno MP R Series Wedges Review

Other recent additions to the fabulous Mizuno range in stock here at the Mizuno Golf Shop are the new range of Mizuno MP R series pitching, sand and lob wedges. These Mizuno wedges, available in a great number of loft and lie options, offer superb soft feel and marvelous control from their grain flow forged heads providing the user with great confidence on those vital little shots on the approach to and around the greens.

Feedback from customers who have purchased a Mizuno wedge or two has been entirely positive. I think it’s no exaggeration to say that they have been amazed and delighted by the amount of backspin generated by these clubs on the greens.

This has produced a raised confidence to hit bolder shots closer to the flag, resulting in shorter putts, and surprise, surprise, lower scores! We all like those! With a Mizuno wedge or two in your bag just watch those scores shrink!

The lovely soft feel of the Mizuno wedge, its balance, consistency, ease of use, and the quality of the materials used in its manufacture have combined to give Mizuno a real winner and its purchaser a trusted friend.

Buy one (or two!) with confidence from the Mizuno Golf Shop and banish those short shot blues!

Tiger Woods: series one

By, Mark Crossfield/ PGA Golf Professional

In the Learn from the best series I am going to help you learn how to hit better golf shots by learning from some of the best golfers in the world. Every golfer is very different in size and style but if you want to hit the golf ball straight with any level of consistency then you will have to apply some fundamentals.

To start us of we are going to look at the number one golfer in the world Tiger Woods, we can learn so much from Tiger’s swing but what I want to show you is how good he is at hitting from the ground up. He generates his great power and accuracy from his ability to push from the floor up through his body and move that energy down into the club and then the golf ball. He does this by making sure he moves all the many parts of the golf downswing in a particular order. This is a skill I don’t see enough in club golfers, they are too eager to return the club head to the golf ball without allowing their bodies to help with the hit. When tiger starts his downswing he is very quick to move his hips to an open position, while at the same time he leaves his shoulders in a closed position until he is just about to hit the ball. This allows him to transfer his weight onto his left foot from the ground up also the energy from the hip rotation can then be transferred into his shoulder turn and finally his hands and club head to optimizes his power and strike.

To hit better golf shots you must also hit from the ground up and unwind your hips, shoulders, arms and hands and finally the club head, no more snatching from the top.

Mizuno MX 560 Driver Review

At last the wait is over for the new driver release from Mizuno Golf and like everything worth waiting for they don’t just have one driver they release two, The Mizuno MX 560 and the Mizuno MP 600. Today I would like to talk about the MX 560 Driver.

The 4 Golf Online Golf Shop took delivery of the new product in early February and I waisted no time getting it on the range for testing. My first impressions were that it looked good in the expeteted Mizuno blue and the shape of the head is similar to many 4600cc head designs on the market. The club stretches back to give the club a large footprint which can only help with launch angel and direction. Looking down at the top of the head I could see this slight bar which Mizuno refer to as the Power Bar Crown which helps to maximise face energy. The club i had in my hands had the multi compound Mizuno blue grip which not only looked great but felt even better. The MX 560 also can fitted with a Fujikura 360 shaft which also looked great and felt like it would make this club exploded at impact.

My first practise swings with the club felt good the club felt easy to control and a nice weight in my hands. The club head sat very nicely behind the ball and the Power Bar on the crown not only looked good but made it easy to line the club up at address.

After a few shots with the club I could really feel why we have had to wait for this club to arrive, my tee shot where really flying and also my miss hits where performing well also. The club was giving me good distance and I really felt like I could hit fairways with it.
The Mizuno MX 560 Driver felt very good and at under £200 will be a great product in it price band. You always know that you are going to get well made golf equipment with Mizuno and this club is no exception.
